About Lily Pierce
Lily Pierce is an emerging artist and singer-songwriter based in New York City. Pierce strives to create music that listeners can find comfort in, whether it be through laughing, crying, or screaming—internally or externally. The singer grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, singing, writing, and performing music. Pierce trains at the acclaimed Lawrence Vocal Studio and records at Engine Sound Studios with writer-producer Matt Anthony. Lily is also a strong advocate for mental health awareness. She participates in volunteer work with eating disorder mental health organizations, "Project Heal" and the "National Eating Disorder Awareness" center (NEDA). Pierce strives to intertwine her passion for mental health activism with her music. She is determined to spread the message that no one is alone in their experiences and that recovery from any hardship is possible and attainable.
Pierce channels her fierce sensitivity into an electric, musical story-- so much so that she has coined the term "over-dramatic storyteller". This is due to her unique writing style and its portrayal of emotions. Piercedoesn't hold back from voicing her crazy thoughts, because to her, there's no such thing. Lily's creative ingenuity provides a cathartic experience that will pierce right through your heart. Pierce has many musical inspirations, such as, Carole King, Lady Gaga, Dan Nigro, Maisie Peters, Lexi Jayde, and more. All of these writers and artists have the boldness and honesty that it takes to create a universally shared experience through music. This is the same type of music and mindset Pierce brings to the table and intends to keep on creating.
Lily Pierce is an artist who writes what she feels, no matter what. No matter how painful and no matter how complex.
